Inspiration for the piece

This work is designed to be exciting and fun to play, and logistically easy to execute! You will simply hit play on the audio track and rock out. No special microphones, audio interfaces, footpedals, etc. will be required to rehearse and perform this work.
The piece will be inspired by the recent sense of euphoria and FOMO (fear of missing out) in the stock markets and bitcoin cryptocurrency exchanges. During the pandemic, many of us have pursued speculative investments for the first time (myself included) on platforms such as Robinhood and Webull. Watching my investments rise on a daily or even hourly basis has been thrilling and addictive! But I think we are all asking ourselves, "how long can it really last?" This piece will attempt to capture the full range of emotions of the current bull market and portray them in music.
The tentative title will be "BULL RUN" for solo euphonium and electronic audio track and the image shown to the left will likely be the cover image (created by Mike Winkleman and used with permission). I love his work!
